FLOYD DARRAH

Floyd Darrah, 71, of 4109 E. Twenty-fifth St., died of cancer Monday at Medicenter of America at 233 University Ave. after an illness of three weeks.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial in the Rising Sun Cemetery.

A retired stonecutter, Mr. Darrah was born in Lucas County and lived in Des Moines 50 years.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Dalton, Mrs. Elaine Shanks and Mrs. Pamela Standley, all of Des Moines, and Mrs. Karen Lineback of Summerville, S.C.; a son, James of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Downs of Chariton and Mrs. Kye Weiss of Racine, Wis.; a brother, Mart of Des Moines; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
