MART DARRAH

Mart Darrah, 79, of 1607 E. Twenty-second St., died of cancer Sunday at Broadlawns Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial at Resthaven Cemetery.

Born near Chariton, Mr. Darrah lived in Des Moines most of his life. He was a retired state employee.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret; a daughter, Donna Kahler of Des Moines; a son, Lewis of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Berniece Weiss of Racine, Wis.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. today, and the family will receive friends this evening at the funeral home.
