Richard Henderson, 70, of Adair died of complications of a stroke Tuesday at Cass County Hospital there. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Merle Hay Funeral Home in Des Moines, with burial at Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery here.

Mr. Henderson was born in Des Moines and moved to Adair in 1992. He was a retired custodian with Johnston Middle School.

Surviving are four sons, Mark of Adair, Richard and Michael, both of Des Moines, and James of Ankeny; a sister, Lillian Beener of Des Moines; three brothers, George and Morton, both of Des Moines, and Robert of Oregon; and a grandchild.

Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
