Our Catholic friends are pained to learn of the death of Rev. Father J. F. Brazill, pastor of the St. Ambrose church in Des Moines, and late Vicar-General of Iowa. For about twenty-six years he had been a resident of Des Moines and his name had become a household word in the Catholic families of that city and central Iowa. He was universally esteemed as an upright and noble man, and an intelligent and public spirited citizen.
