A.D. Ryon a long time resident of Laurens until a few years ago, passed away at his home in Humboldt. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Laurens with the Rev. H.O. Ward officiating. Burial Laurens Cemetery.
A.D. Ryon was the oldest son of John A. and Lizzie Ryon. Born Apr 1, 1868 Dekalb Co., IL. In 1884 moved with his parents to the old Ryon farm NE of Laurens. Married Grace Edwards Apr 2, 1893. Grace passed away leaving a baby daughter. In 1898 he was united in marriage to Mae Pooler. 3 children born to this union.
He is survived by his widow and 4 children, Grace Ryon of Missoula, MT., John and Harold of Laurens, and Mrs. A.F. Rodemeyer of Coutler and several grandchildren. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Craig of Oakes, ND., and 2 brothers Hugh Ryon of Spencer and Jay Ryon of Laurens.
