Laurens Sun, Laurens, Pocahontas, Iowa, USA Thursday, January 30, 1913

Glen Mather, son of William and Emma E. Mather, was born January first, 1907, and died January 28, 1913, aged six years, twenty-seven days.

Little Glen was the youngest child of his parents, and as such was the delight of all the family — the pride of his father, the joy of his mother, and the favorite of brothers and sister. More than this, because of his winsome ways, he was much loved by all who knew him. His happy disposition and precocious manners endeared him to all having acquaintance with him. To say that his early demise will bring sorrow to his many friends is all too lightly, for the transportation of this pure life from scenes of earth into; the heavenly, leaves a loneliness in our hearts that human words cannot express; nor will the vacancy thus caused be healed in a short time, for Glen was a princely child, and as long as memory shall linger o'er earth's scenes, shall we continue to hold sacred the memory of this one who brought cheer and happiness wherever he went. His smiling face and cheery voice no more shall be heard on earth, but in brighter realms we hope to meet him again.

Beside the father and mother, are two brothers, Ray and Benjamin, and one sister, Alva, who mourn the decease of little Glen.

The funeral was held yesterday afternoon from the Methodist church conducted by the pastor, Rev. Fille-brown. Interment was made in the Laurens cemetery.
