Elbert Brewster Dies in Des Moines

Elbert Brewster 50, of Des Moines, a former resident of Laurens, died Friday at Still Osteopathic Hospital in Des Moines after a short illness. He had been hospitalized less than a day.

Funeral services were held at 3:30 p. m. Monday at the Evan Lilly Funeral Home. Burial was in Elm Grove Cemetery in Des Moines.

Mr. Brewster, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Brewster, was born July 31, 1910, in Laurens and attended school here. He was married in October, 1934, to Ruby Green, of Rolfe. They had lived in Des Moines about 5 ½ years, and prior to that had lived in California and at Fort Dodge.

Survivors

He is survived by his wife; a son, Robert; his mother, Mrs. Belle Brewster of Laurens; a sister, Mrs. Iva Hakeman of Waukee; and two brothers, Paul of Laurens and LeRoy of Newell.

Among those from this community attending the funeral were Mrs. Belle Brewster, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Brewster and Betty, Mr. and Mrs. John Perkins and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Forry. The Paul Brewsters took Mrs. Belle Brewster to Des Moines Saturday.
