Mrs. G.W. Oleson Dies
Gloom was thrown over the whole community when it was announced Monday morning that Mrs. G. W. Oleson had passed away She had been hovering for several days between life and death and all that medical skill and loving hands could do was done. She was a young woman hardly in the prime of life and this with the fact that she leaves six small children, one of them an infant makes her taking away all the more sad. Mr. Oleson and this motherless family certainly have the sympathy of the entire community.Loretta E. Martin was born near Shannon, Illinois, Dec. 13, 1885 and died at her home near Laurens, Aug. 9, 1915, aged 29 years, 7 months, and 26 days. In the spring of 1896 she moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D.Z. Martin to this community where she has resided ever since.
Sept. 28, 1902 she was united in marriage to Geo. W. Oleson and to this union six children were born all of whom are living. They are Cecil, Vira, Irene, Ardis, Loren and the infant. Besides the husband and these children she leaves a father, mother, two brothers, numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
