Clara E. Brauch
Funeral services for Clara E. Brauch, 75, Sioux City, Le Mars native, were held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars. Rev. Dean Walker officiated and burial was in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of the Luedtke funeral home in Le Mars, a parish rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Casket bearers were Melvin Brauch, Charles Wiley, Melvin Kern, Walter Kern, Charles Stoffel and Paul Brauch. Miss Brauch was found dead in her apartment last Thursday afternoon. Dr. Thomas Coriden, Woodbury county medical examiner, said Miss Brauch died sometime the previous Tuesday of a heart ailment. She was born April 21, 1896, near Le Mars, the daughter of Paul and Katherine Stoffel Brauch. Miss Brauch was a stenographer for the state of Minnesota records division in Minneapolis and had returned to Le Mars to live for several years. She moved to Sioux City 17 years ago.
Survivors are a sister Mrs. H. P. (Rosalia) Miller, Rock Island, 111., and two brothers Alfred and Clarence both of Le Mars. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Paul and Leo
