Floyd J. Sullivan

Floyd J. Sullivan, 40. prominent LeMars businessman, passed away at the Sacred Heart hospital here Saturday afternoon. Mr. Sullivan was taken to the hospital Thursday morning following a heart attack. Mr. Sullivan, who was a petroleum wholesale distributor for the past several years, also organized and managed the LeMars Credit and Adjustment Bureau at his home at 15 3rd Ave., S. E., despite his blindness. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Plymouth county, Oilmen's club.

Mr. Sullivan and Lorraine Stoeber were married here on October 8. 1941.

Survivors include the widow, Lorraine; a son, Edward Eugene, 6; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William J. Sullivan of LeMars; two brothers, Edmund of LeMars and Harold of Minneapolis and two sisters, Mrs. Earl (Mary) Britton of Sheldon and Mrs. Gene (Patricia) Peters of Omaha.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a. m. Tuesday at St. James Catholic church. Rev. L. J. LaVelle, pastor, Rev. Lloyd Carol of Merrill, a cousin of the deceased and Rev. Leo Harpenau, will celebrate a solemn requiem high mass. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery under the direction of the Wiltgen - Luedlke funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home until time of services. The rosary will be recited by the Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Daughters on Monday evening.
