Virgina “Ginny” Konz, 70, of Boyden, Iowa, formerly of Le Mars, Iowa passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota following a stroke.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2017 at Rexwinkel-Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars. Deacon Paul Gengler from All Saints Parish in Le Mars will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will be after 5:00 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2017, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., all at the funeral home. Visitation will resume from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com.

Virginia Rae Miller was born February 3, 1947 in Le Mars, Iowa, the daughter of Ralph and Dorothy (Hinken) Miller. She attended school in Le Mars and graduated from Le Mars Community High School.

She was united in marriage to Jerry Konz on July 6, 1968 in Le Mars. To this union, two sons were born: Brian and Steve. They later divorced.

Early on, Ginny lived in Colorado Springs, CO while Jerry was serving in the military. After their time there, they returned to the area and lived in Marcus, Iowa until settling in Le Mars. Ginny worked for Aalfs Manufacturing in Le Mars and later at Goodwill in Le Mars. In 1998, she moved to Boyden, Iowa.

Through the years, she enjoyed shopping, traveling, and trying her luck at the casinos. But most of all, she loved the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her two sons: Brian (Frankie) Konz of Le Mars and Steve (Tiffany) Konz of Le Mars; her fiancé: Larry Moret of Boyden, IA; 4 grandchildren: Savanna (Justin) Pratt of Le Mars and their children, Aiden and Draven; Brek Konz, Dade Konz, and Boyd Konz all of Le Mars; her siblings: Mary Kay Lean of St. Paul, MN, Don (Marlene) Miller of Le Mars, LaVonne Meschke of New Richmond, WI, Pat (Stan) Plueger of Le Mars, Marge Hartman of Le Mars, Mike Miller of Dayton, OH, Annie (Bob) Sextro of Sioux City, IA, and Bill (Tammie) Miller of Le Mars; her in laws: Norma Miller of Sioux City and Sheryl Miller of Le Mars; Larry’s family: Scott (Sheryl) Moret of Phoenix, AZ and their children, Danielle and Terrance; Joel (Rhonda) Moret of Orange City, IA, and their children, Jackie and Jesse; and Cody (Jennifer) Moret of Brookings, SD, and their children, Samantha, Seth, and Ben; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Dorothy Miller; her brothers: Tom, Jim, and Dave Miller; her in laws: Daryl Hartman, Ray Meschke, Francis Lean, and Sue Miller; a niece: Deb Miller; and a nephew: Gene Miller.
