Walter Kehrberg Dies, Services to be Friday At Stanton Church

Walter J. Kehrberg, 56, LeMars, died Tuesday at the St. Joseph hospital in Sioux City after an illness of three weeks.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 3, at 2 o'clock at the Stanton township Evangelical United Brethren church. The Rev. W. C. Smith of Merrill and the Rev. J. Paul Stevens of the Stanton church will officiate at the service. Interment will be in the Stanton township church cemetery.

Walter J. Kehrberg was born June 24, 1895 on a farm in Stanton township. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert K. Kehrberg. He has continued to live on this farm his entire life. Mr. Kehrberg was married to Edna Manz June 24, 1943 at Fort Dodge.

The survivors besides the widow are two sisters, Mrs. R. C. Stanley (Lillian) of San Antonio, Texas and Mrs. V. W. Schwendenann (Amanda) of Fort Dodge; three brothers, Albert and Elmer of LeMars, and Ben of Cherokee. , Mr. Kehrberg was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of the Stanton Evangelical United Brethren church; of Giblem Lodge 322; Occidental chapter 114; Plymouth commander, 57; Abe Bekr Shrine; Worthy Patron LeMars chapter of Eastern Star; B. P. O. Elks and American Legion.

The Masons will have the graveside rites.

Mauer's Funeral Home was in charge of the services.
