MARY B. REDMOND, 76, WAS LONGTIME NURSE AT HOSPITALS HERE—RITES SATURDAY
Miss Mary B. Redmond, 76, lifelong Plymouth County resident and registered nurse in Le Mars hospitals for many years, died Thursday, Jan. 1, at Sacred Heart Hospital after a three year illness.
Funeral services were at 9 a. m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. L. J. LaVelle officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Lukens Funeral Home.
Mary Redmond was born Aug. 1, 1882, in Plymouth County, the daughter of James and Anna Lamb Redmond. She had resided in Le Mars the last 45 years.
Miss Redmond was employed as a registered nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital when that institution was located on Central Ave. and then for many years at the present Sacred Heart Hospital.
Surviving are a sister, Miss Anna Redmond of Le Mars, and a nephew, James of Sioux City. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
