Maurice Redmond, 82, Former Real Estate Agent, Buried Monday
Maurice B. Redmond, 82, passed away at his home in Le Mars following a heart attack, Thursday evening April 27, 1950.
He was born at Platteville, Wis. May 17, 1867, and came with his parents to parents to Plymouth County when he was 12 years old. His parents lived on a farm south of Le Mars and later purchased a farm northwest of Le Mars.
Mr. Redmond made his home on this farm until 1917 when he retired and moved to Le Mars. He married Mary Molamphy June 20, 1911. She died nine years ago.
After moving to Le Mars Mr. Redmond entered the real-estate business, building and selling homes.
He is survived by two sisters, Anna and Mary, and one nephew, James of Sioux City.
Funeral services were held at St. James Catholic Church Monday, May 1 at 9 a. m.; Rev. L. J. La Velle officiating. Burial was in St. James Cemetery beside his wife. Funeral arrangements were in charge of Luken’s Funeral Home.
Pall bearers were Frank Hentges, A. J. Osweiler, Al Meis, James Kelley, Harry Kramer, Jake Decker.
Mr. Redmond was a member of St. James parish and a life member in the Knights of Columbus.
