Mrs. George W. Koenig, 93, of 19 4th St SW, died Monday (Jan. 14, 1974) at her home after a long illness.

She was the widow of a longtime LeMars druggist. Koenig's drug store was located for many years on Central Ave. where Hopkins Drug is now located.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Mauer funeral chapel. Rev. Tom Balm will officate and burial will be in LeMars Memorial Cemetery.

Eastern Star services will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The former Lyle L. Frase was born Jan. 24, 1880, in Minnesota. She came to LeMars before her marriage and had lived here since.

She was married Nov. 14, 1911, at Nerstrand, Minn. Mr. and Mrs. George Koenig were active in community affairs before Mr. Koenig's retirement from business. He died April 17, 1956.

Mrs. Koenig was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving are a son Robert of Cypress Gardens, Calif., and a grandson Stephen Koenig at home.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents, Rev. Fredrick A. Frase and Mary C. Wolfe Frase.
