LE MARS, Iowa -- Clarence Stevenson, 77, of Le Mars, died Friday at his home of an apparent heart attack.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Mauer Funeral Home, the Rev. Leonard Root will officiate. Burial will be in LeMars Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Stevenson was born May 2, 1904, at Boise, Idaho. He lived in Idaho, Oregon, and California before moving to LeMars, in 1938. He worked for the Nellie Lumber Co. in LeMars until his retirement.

He married Dorothy Garr April 1, 1945, LeMars, IA.

He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of Wasmer Post 324, American Legion.

Survivors include the widow; one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Karen) Runkel of Spencer; two grandsons; and one brother, Vernon, of Thorofare, N.J.
