Fredrick Haage

Fredrick H. J. Haage, 60, of rural Akron passed away September 9 at Lutheran hospital, Sioux City. He had been sick since July and in the hospital one week.

Mr. Haage was born April 20, 1901 at Plymouth county, Iowa. He was a resident of Plymouth county all his life. Until his death, he was engaged in farming. Fredrick Haage and Johann Dorothy Kruse were united in marriage November 23, 1925 at Sioux City.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 12 at St. Preston township near Akron at 2 p.m. Rev. Conrad Guetzlaff will officiate at last rites. Burial will be in Preston Township Lutheran Cemetery, under the direction of the Maurer Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 infant sisters, one brother Herman in May 4, 1961.

Deceased was a member of St. Johns American Lutheran church, Preston township.

RITES ARE HELD WEDNESDAY FOR FRED H. HAAGE

Had Been Resident Of Plymouth County All Of His Life

Fredrick H. J. Haage, 60, lifelong resident of Plymouth county, died Saturday, Sept. 9, at Lutheran hospital, Sioux City, after suffering ill health since July. He had been hospitalized one week.

Mr. Haage was born April 29, 1901. He married Johanna Dorothy Kruse in Sioux City, Nov. 23, 1926. He was engaged in farming in the Akron vicinity.

Surviving are his wife, Johanna; two sons, Glenn Melvin , of LeMars and Donald Gene, of Struble; two grandchildren; three brothers, John and Herman, both of LeMars, and Gerd, of Akron; and four sisters, Mrs. Anna Meyer, Mrs. Flora Cassens and Mrs. Hannah Borchers, all of Akron; and Mrs. Tena Lubben, of LeMars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick and Johanna Nannen Haage; two infant sisters, and one brother, Henry Haage, who died May 4 this year.

Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Wednesday at St. John American Lutheran church in Preston township, Rev. Conrad Guetzlaff officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
