About twenty-nine years ago he located, with his family, near Millnerville, Plymouth county, Iowa, which has since remained the family borne. His wife passed away about five years ago.

Five children are left to mourn the loss of a kind and devoted husband and father, as follows: Three sons, C. E , of Council Bluffs, Iowa; R. W., of Medical Lake, Washington, and Harry, near Millnerville. Two daughters, Mrs. C. Pike near Millnerville, and Mrs. C J. B. McKillips, of Akron. They have the sympathy of all who know them.

Many in the south part of Plymouth county will mourn the death of this respected pioneer citizen. On account of the excessive heat the funeral was held here last evening at 8 o'clock at the McKillips home. A large number of friends gathered there on the lawn, where the service was conducted by Rev. O. L. Adams, of the Christian church. The remains were taken to Logan Park cemetery, near Sioux City, early this, Thursday, morning, where interment was made beside his beloved wife. Mr. Adams accompanied the relatives there and conducted a brief service.
