Mrs. Wilbur Morehead, a resident of the Adaville vicinity since pioneer days, passed away Thursday, February 16, 1939, at the home of her son, Frank Morehead, in Johnson Township, aged 69 years.

Miss Ella Fletcher wan a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Fletcher, early Settlers near Adaville, who later lived near Merrill. She was married forty-six years ago in Le Mars to Wilbur Morehead, who preceded her in death April 30, 1931.

To them were born three sons and six daughters, who survive their parents: Frank, on the home farm at Adaville; Mrs. Nellie Raber, of Carthage, S. D.; Iva, at home; Mrs. Gertie Brown, of Adaville; Vernon, of Westfield; Mrs. Vern Semple, of Sioux City; Marie of Omaha; Lloyd M., of Adaville, and Mrs. Phoebe Patrick, of Ralston, Ia. She is also survived by seven sisters: Mrs. Ada Morehead, of Lebanon, S. D.; Mrs. Sadie Courtright, of Clinton, Minn.; Mrs. Mary Bristow, of Worington, Minn.; Clara, of Merrill; Mrs. Mabel Albright, of Merrill; Minnie, of Reliance, S. D., and Mrs. Nettie Weinheimer, who lives in Oregon.

Mrs. Morehead's death is mourned by many good friends, who extend heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved relatives.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 o'clock Saturday afternoon, February 18, at the Adaville U. B. church. Interment was in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
