Mr. and Mrs. Chester Philips, residing twelve miles southeast of town, have the sincere sympathy of the community in the loss of their little laughter, Dorothy Jeanette, who passed away at the Akron Hospital, Saturday, October 28, 1939, of peritonitis, aged 6 years, 9 months and 15 days.

The child was operated upon or appendicitis the 29th of last September, and two weeks later another operation became necessary; but the best of medical attention and most careful nursing proved unavailing.

Dorothy was born in this county January 13,1933, and grew to bright and winsome childhood. Her taking away is a grievous blow to the parents,, sister, Bonnie, and other near relatives, funeral services were held Monday afternoon, at 2 o 'clock at the home and at 2:30 o'clock in the Adaville U.B. church, Rev. Talbott officiating, interment was in Pleasant Valley Cemetery at Adaville.
