Tim Ferguson, 34, of Westfield, Iowa passed away Monday, November 1, 2010 from injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident south of Westfield, Iowa.

Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Big Springs Baptist Church, rural Alcester, South Dakota. Pastor Daryl Runion will officiate. Visitation with the family present will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church and during a time of lunch and fellowship in the church basement following the service. The Carlsen Funeral Home – Schroeder Chapel in Akron, Iowa is in charge of arrangements.

Timothy Robert Ferguson was born September 13, 1976 in Page, Arizona, the son of Robert and Susie (Morris) Ferguson. He attended school in Arizona and later in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He was united in marriage to Theresa Lilly on November 8, 1997 in Las Vegas. Together, they are the parents of three children, Scott, age 9, Lilly, age 6, and Jennie, age 3. In 1999, they moved to Westfield, Iowa. Tim worked for various companies before going to work for Heyl Transportation Services in Akron as a refrigeration mechanic.

Tim loved being outdoors, whether it was fishing or cutting and splitting wood. He enjoyed the seasonal weather of the Midwest, especially winter. But most of all, he loved the times spent with family and friends, especially time spent with his children. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa of Westfield; his three children, Scott, Lilly, and Jennie, all at home; his parents: Robert and Susie Ferguson of Akron, IA; his siblings: Steven Ferguson (Carrie) and their children, Chase and Paige, all of Eckert, CO, Shelley Ferguson of Cedar Ridge, CO, and Dan Ferguson (Laura) and their children, Alysha, Sarah, Samantha, Rebekah, and Dan, Jr., all of Las Vegas, NV; his father and mother in law: Doug and Nancy Lilly of Westfield, IA; his brother in law: Wallace Lilly of Westfield, IA; two uncles: Frank Morris (Teri) and David Ferguson, all of Phoenix, AZ; and a cousin: Laura King of Phoenix, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Eugene and Freda Ferguson; his maternal grandparents: Lloyd and Bernice Morris; and a brother: Scott Ferguson.

Tim was an organ donor, giving the gift of life through the Iowa Donor Network.

In lieu of flowers, a trust fund has been established for his children in memory of their father through Security National Bank, 251 Reed Street, Akron, Iowa 51001 or any Security National Bank location.
