Minnie M. .Jacobs, 85, Le Mars, an Akron native, died Wednesday(Feb. 27, 1991) at Brentwood Good
Samaritan Center in Le Mars.Funeral Services were held Saturday at St. John's American Lutheran Church in Le Mars. Rev. Gary Landsness and Rev. Jean A. Ziettlow officiated. Burial was in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Preston Township, at rural Akron, under direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.
The former Minnie Hartman was born March 31, 1905, at Akron to Ben H. and Trientje Saathoff Hartman. She was a lifelong Plymouth County resident. Her marriage to Fred J. Jacobs took place Dec. 5, 1923, at Akron. Mr. Jacobs died July 10, 1988. Mrs. Jacobs was a member of St. John's American Lutheran Church in Le Mars, and the women of the E.L.C.A.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Lavonne) Engelbrecht of Le Mars; Mrs. Myron (Inez) Borchers, Ireton, and Mrs. David (Shirley) Morgenthaler of Bella Vista, Ark; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Alfred Hartman and his wife, Helen of Akron; George Hartman of Hawarden and William Hartman and his wife, Merva, of Hawarden.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson; four brothers and three sisters.
