Mrs. Jacob G. Lehmann, 78, of Akron, a resident of Plymouth County for about 55 years died at the Akron hospital Thursday, July 20. She had been in poor health for over a year, suffering a heart attack June 20, from which she never recovered.

Emma Madalene Trometer was born March 13, 1883, daughter of Andrew and Barbara Pfadt Trometer, in Harrison county, Iowa. Dec. 31,1907, she was married to Jacob G. Lehmann in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Johnson Township. The couple moved on the farm on which Mr. Lehmann had been born and reared, southwest of Merrill.

In 1940 they retired to Merrill and moved to Akron in 1950. They were the parents of two daughters, Mrs. Leonard Brown of Battle Creek, and Mrs. Lucille Mattis, of Merrill, and two sons, Clarence of Akron and Harry of Battle Creek, who with her husband, 12 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Fred and Peter Trometer of Merrill, survive. Mr. and Mrs. Lehmann celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1957 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Merrill.

Funeral services were held July 22 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Akron, Rev. Luther Meyer officiating. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Merrill.
