Albert John Frerichs, 84, Akron, died Thursday (May 3, 1990) in the Akron City Convalescent Care Center after a brief illness.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Akron. Rev. Stephany Sanborn officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery, under direction of Schroeder Funeral home of Akron.
Pallbearers were Gerald Frerichs, Randy Frerichs, Roger Frerichs, Eugene Frerichs, Gary Marshall and Myron Dorsey.
Randy Frerichs sang "In The Garden" and "Just As I Am". Mrs. Loretta Van Buskirk was organist.
Mr. Frerichs was born Feb. 3, 1906 at Akron, Iowa, the son of John Dick and Mary Nannen Frerichs. He attended Stony Point school in Portland Township, and farmed all his life near Akron. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Clara Satthoff of Akron and Edna Marshall of Ire ton; two brothers, Edwin and Herbert, both of Akron; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ben and Louis.
