Elmer F. Lehmann, 87, Sioux City, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 1990, at a Sioux City hospital of a brief illness.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Lutheran church in Sioux City. The Rev. David
Fechner officiated. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery in Merrill, under direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel.Mr. Lehmann was born Sept. 25, 1903 in Liberty township, Plymouth County, Iowa, to John and Katherine (Kress) Lehmann. He graduated from Liberty Twp. consolidated school. He married Lucille Margaret LaBahn, Oct. 5,1926 at Merrill. The couple farmed in Plymouth County until 1945, when they retired and moved to Sioux City. While in Sioux City Mr. Lehmaftn was employed as a mechanic : with Miller-Kidder Chevrolet from 1945 until he retired in 1968. Mr. Lehmann was a Lutheran.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Donald E. Lehmann and his wife, Barbara, of Sioux City; two daughters, Ms. Dorothy McKee of Sioux City and Mrs. John (Marleen) Chase of Worthington, Minn.; a sister, Mrs. Vince (Violet) Shea of Wauconda. Ill.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
