Mrs. Richard (Rita Ann) Foley, 54, Akron, died Wednesday, April 25, 1990, in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Ellendale Catholic Church, rural Merrill. Rev. Mark Harrington officiated, with burial in the church cemetery, under direction of Schroeder Funeral Home of Akron. Rosary services were held Friday at the funeral home, conducted by the Catholic Daughters of America at 7 p.m. and parish, at 7:30 p.m.

Pallbearers were Steve Foley, Kevin Foley, Clayton Rohmiller, Dave Foley, Shaun Foley, and Brad Schultz.

Mrs. Foley was born August 2, 1935 in Janesville, Minn., to Willard and Olive (Eustice) Glynn. She married Richard Foley, Nov. 8, 1958 in Janesville. The couple lived in the Akron area where they farmed their entire married life. She had worked at Harkers in Le Mars since 1987. Mrs. Foley was a member of Ellendale Catholic church and Catholic Daughters of America.

Survivors include her husband, Richard of Akron; two daughters, Nancy Foley of Le Mars, and Deb Foley of Cresco; two sons, Tom of Mission, Kan., and Jeff of Sioux City; three sisters, Sister Mary Glynn of Rochester, Minn., Rosie Hermer of Janesville, and Sheila Rhoton of Newport. Ky.; three brothers, Bill Glynn of Plover, Wise., Tom Glynn of Waseca, Minn, and John Glynn of Janesville.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Dave.
