FARMER OF UNION COUNTY SUMMONED

Christ. Zachow Had Also Lived In Plymouth County—Rites Saturday

Christ. Zachow, a former resident of Plymouth County, died June 13, 1945, at his home southwest of town, in Union County, S; D., after an extended illness, at the age of 78 years, 4 months and 9 days.

Mr. Zachow was born February 4, 1857, in Germany, At the age of 24 years he came to the United States and made his home with his uncle, Henry Buckeberg, in this county. On March 5, 1896, he was united in marriage, with Katherine Eden in Akron. They farmed in South Dakota for eight years and then moved to Plymouth County, where they farmed for six years. Later they moved back to South Dakota.

He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, four daughters and one son. They are: Mrs. Chas, Larson; Plaza, N. D.; Mrs. Elmer Anderson, Akron, Ia.; Mrs. Ralph Fickbohm, Alcester, S. D.; Mrs., Carol Hamilton, Hawarden, Ia.; Edward Zachow, at home. They have the sympathy of many friends in, their bereavement.

Funeral services were- held Saturday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church here, conducted by Rev. J. A. Pannkuk, Interment was in Riverside Cemetery.
