Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, May 10 for Jonas Wester, age 92, of Westfield, Iowa at the Schroeder Funeral Home, Rev. Durwood Clauson, officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.

Pall bearers were John Martin, Keith Knapp, Bard Lilly, Virgil Ross, Philip Beaubien, Jr., and Arval Lake. Mr. Wester died May 6 in a Sioux City nursing home after a long illness.

He was born June 16,1878 in Denmark, coming to the United Spates in 1903. In July 1903 he married Katherine Peterson, she died in June, 1959. Mr. Wester lived in the Westfield area for 50 years and was a carpenter.

Survivors are: two brothers, Antone of McGregor, Minn., and Marinus of Denmark; two sisters, Mrs. Else Baggesen and Mrs. Dagmar Jorgensen, both of Denmark.
