Darrel L. Jacobson, 45, Akron, died
Tuesday (Jan. 16, 1973) at a Sioux City
hospital after a long illness.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday
at Immanuel Lutheran church at Akron.
Rev. David Roy will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.

Hoschler Legion Post 434 of Akron will
conduct graveside rites.

There will be a prayer service at 7:30
p.m. Thursday at the Schroeder funeral
home, Akron.

Mr. Jacobson was born Sept. 29, 1927, at
Richland, S.D. He married Betty Dunham
May 1, 1945, at Elk Point, S.D.

He was a veteran of World War 2 and the
Korean war, and a member of Hoschler
Legion post.

Survivors are his wife; four sons, Garry
of Dakota City, Neb., Clayton of Sioux
City, Darcy of Westfield, Russell, at home;
three brothers. Jay, Walter and Robert of
Los Angeles; and six sisters, Mrs. Alfred
Trudeau of La Grande, Ore., Mrs. Ralph
Smith of Summerville, Ore., Mrs. Inez
Gray of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Marvin Conti
of Gardena, Calif., Mrs. Bill Phillips of
Maywood, Calif., and Mrs. Niel Mc Lain
Sr. of Akron.

[Another Obituary}

Darrel J. Jacobson, 45, Akron, Iowa, died Tuesday, January 16 at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness. The funeral was held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 19, in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Akron.

The Rev. David Roy officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery. Hoschler Legion Post 434 of Akron conducted graveside rites.

Pall bearers were Guy Ross, Jr., Neil McLane, Jr., Harold Higman, Sr., Cecil Ericson, Harvey Dewey and Floyd Wilcox. A prayer service was held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, January 18 at the Schroeder Funeral Home.
