Jesse Kallsen, 82. of Akron. died of a short illness Monday. May 5, 1975, at the Akron hospital.
Services will be held Friday, May 10 at 1:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran church in Akron. Rev. Durwood Clauson will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, with Schroeder Funeral Home in charge. A prayer service will be at 8 p.m, Thursday in the funeral home.
Mr. Kallsen was born October 30, 1892 at Akron. His parents were the late Peter and Emma Thiessen Kallsen. He married Lorena Witt December 5, 1917. She died in 1968. The couple farmed in the Akron area and retired to Akron in 1952.
Survivors are five daughters. Mrs. Ray (Evelyn) Boetger, Le Mars. Mrs. Pat (Phyllis) Callahan, Van Nuys, Calif., Mrs. Harvey (Lois) Lias, Akron, Mrs. Luverne (Violet) Helmricks, Ireton, Mrs. Wendell (Norma) Borchers, Akron; one son, Clarence, Le Mars; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Delia Kallsen, Brunsville, Mrs. Amanda Mlller, St. Joseph, Mo., Mrs. Lillian Tapper, Le Mars. Mrs. Ella Arnsdorff, Le Mars.
