Jesse Kallsen, 82. of Akron. died of a short illness Monday. May 5, 1975, at the Akron hospital.

Services will be held Friday, May 10 at 1:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran church in Akron. Rev. Durwood Clau­son will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, with Schroeder Funeral Home in charge. A prayer service will be at 8 p.m, Thursday in the funeral home.

Mr. Kallsen was born October 30, 1892 at Akron. His parents were the late Peter and Emma Thiessen Kall­sen. He married Lorena Witt Decem­ber 5, 1917. She died in 1968. The couple farmed in the Akron area and retired to Akron in 1952.

Survivors are five daughters. Mrs. Ray (Evelyn) Boetger, Le Mars. Mrs. Pat (Phyllis) Callahan, Van Nuys, Calif., Mrs. Harvey (Lois) Lias, Akron, Mrs. Luverne (Violet) Helmricks, Ire­ton, Mrs. Wendell (Norma) Borchers, Akron; one son, Clarence, Le Mars; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grand­children; four sisters, Mrs. Delia Kall­sen, Brunsville, Mrs. Amanda Mlller, St. Joseph, Mo., Mrs. Lillian Tapper, Le Mars. Mrs. Ella Arnsdorff, Le Mars.
