Augusta Rozalia Buehre, 92, of Akron, died Sunday at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Services were held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Akron, with the Rev. William Flernr officiating. Burial was held at Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Buehre was born Sept. 21, 1898, in Javer, Germany, the daughter of Henry and Frederika (Held) Popken. She came to the United States at age 13 in 1912, on the steamship Breslau. On that trip, they helped to rescue the survivors from the Titanic. She mar­ried Herbert Buehre in 1921 at Le­Mars. Iowa. He died March 30, 1967.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sons, Clyde and his wife. Dolores, and Eugene, all of Sioux City; three grandchi1dren~ two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Martha Mo1zen, of LeMars.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and Otto, and four sisters, Lizzy Johnson, Freda and Anna Popken and Marie Vander Ham.
