Alfred Motzen, 75, Le Mars, died (July 4, 1975) at Floyd Valley hospital in Le Mars after a four-month illness.
Services,were held Monday, July 7 In St. John American Lutheran church. Le Mars. The Rev. Arhold Imbrock officiated. Burial was in Memorial cemetery under the direction of Mauer Funeral Home.
Mr. Molzen was born September 29, 1899 near Akron. He married Martha Popken Dec. 19, 1923 at, Le Mars. They farmed for many years. He moved to Le Mars in 1942 and became a carpenter. He lived in Plymouth county all his life.
Survivors include the widow; two sons. Clifford of New Brighton, Minn., and Jerry of Fairfax, Va.; two daughters. Mrs. Donald (Gladys) Thoma of Le Mars and Mrs. B. J. (Cleone) Jacobsen of Battle Ground, Wash.; a sister, Bertha Frerichs of Akron: a brother, Henry of Le Mars; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
