ROBERT G. SARGENT

Robert G. Sargent, 51, Sioux City, died Saturday morning Aug. 5, 1978, at a Sioux City hospital after an illness of two months.

He was born March 25, 1927, in Akron, and married Avonelle Lilly on Dec. 1, 1947, in Adaville. He was a cattle driver for Raskin Packing Co. and Sioux Pack of Iowa.

Survivors are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Keith (Linda) Murkins, Mrs. Jessie (Bobetta) Dupree and Danna, all of Sioux City; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Jack (Kathleen) Port of Muskegon, Mich., and his father, Earl, of LeMars.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery at Akron, with Rev. Oscar Rees of Sioux City officiating.

A prayer service will be held Monday evening at 7:30 at the funeral home.
