MRS. FRANK SIMPSON

SUTHERLAND, Iowa—Mrs. Frank (Lucille) Simpson, 74, Sutherland, died Thursday morning at her home after a brief illness.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the United Methodist church at Sutherland. The Rev. James Nicholson will officiate. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the LeMars Cemetery under direction of the Baumgarten Funeral Home of Sutherland.

Mrs. Simpson, the former Vesta Lucille Dunn, was born Feb. 3, 1904, at Lennox, S.D. She attended LeMars High School. She was married July 17, 1923, at Elk Point, S.D. She had lived in the Sutherland area for 40 years.

Mrs. Simpson was a member and past president of the American Legion Post 152 Auxiliary. She was a past president of the O’Brien of the United Methodist Women. She was the O’Brien County chairman of the Christmas Seal Drive. Her husband died in 1964.

Survivors include two sons, Donald, of Denver, Colo., and Dean of Dumont, N.J.; a daughter, Mary Lou Miller of St. Louis Park, Minn.; two brothers, Dr. L. L., of Dell Rapids, S.D., and M.P., of Corvallis, Ore.; a sister, Mrs. Raymond Beeker, of Merrill; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
