Mr. Timmins, the son of Frank Timmins and Isabelle Bradley Timmins, was born in Kingsley, Iowa, on July 6, 1910. He married Mildred LeMoine, daughter of John and Florence LeMoine, in Pender, Neb., on Nov. 28, 1932.

Mr. Timmins owned his own business, Timmins Window and Awning, specializing in home remodeling and cabinet making. He was active in his parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church, as a member of the choir, and in later years as a Eucharistic minister and mentor. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Trinity Council 1466.

His hobbies included gardening, barbershop singing and woodcraft. His children and grandchildren will long hold dear the many crafts and toys he created for them. Mr. Timmins was well-known in and around Northwest Iowa as a barbershop chorus and quartet singer and as a church soloist. He was a charter member of the Floyd Valley Chordsmen Barbershop Chorus in Le Mars, where he and his son-in-law Bill Fitzpatrick were members of the "Roustabouts" quartet. He and his son Terry were also members of the Siouxland Barbershop Chorus in Sioux City. Bill never missed an opportunity to sing a song for others, particularly his grandchildren. His last "performance" was for his fellow residents at supper at the Brentwood Good Samaritan Center a week before he died.

Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Marlene and Bill Fitzpatrick of Le Mars, Sandra and Charles Petron of Libertyville, Ill., and Micki Timmins and Mike DeGregory of Trenton, N.J.; two sons and their wives, Joe and Carol Timmins of Melrose, Minn., and Terry and Pat Timmins of Des Moines, Iowa; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred; two daughters, Collette and Julie; a grandson, Michael Timmins; a granddaughter, Colleen Fitzpatrick; two brothers, John and Joe Timmins; and two sisters, Rose Krapfl and Irene Mullins.

Bill's family extends its deep appreciation to the staff and residents at both Park Place Estates and Brentwood Good Samaritan Center for their many kindnesses shown to Bill over the last two years, while he resided in their care.
