REMSEN, Iowa -- Cletus Miller, 91, of Remsen died Monday, May 20, 2002, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen, with the Rev. Thomas J. Hart officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Friday, with a parish rosary at 3 p.m., a vigil prayer service at 7:30 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus rosary at 8 p.m., all at Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen.

Mr. Miller was born March 19, 1911, in rural Remsen, the son of George and Susan (Huss) Miller. He was raised in the Remsen area and received his education at St. Mary's Catholic School in Remsen. He then farmed south of Remsen, where he touched and influenced so many lives. He had been a resident of Happy Siesta Health Care Center in Remsen since Aug. 13, 1996.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include eight nieces and nephews, Gary Miller and his wife, Julie of Remsen, Dianne and her husband, Larry Feltner of Carroll, Iowa, Doug Miller of Tucson, Ariz., Roger Miller and his wife, Cyndi of Spirit Lake, Iowa, Keith Miller and his wife, Joleen of Sioux Falls, S.D., Marilyn and her husband, David Mayrose of Le Mars, Iowa, Deborah and her husband, Donald Hommer of Mount Vernon, Iowa, and Alan Miller and his wife, Karen of Littleton, Colo.; and 23 grandnieces and grandnephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Monica; two brothers and their wives, Lester and Marjorie (Parry) Miller and Edmund and Evelyn (Harpenau) Miller; and a niece, Sharon Rae Miller.

Pallbearers will be Mike Feltner, Ryan, Patrick and Justin Miller, Jeremy Mayrose and Jacob Hommer.
