CAUSE OF DEATH: …after a brief illness.

PARENTS: Niels M. and Rasmine (Jensen) Winquist
SPOUSE & DATE & PLACE of 1st MARRIAGE: Muriel Talbott in Akron, Iowa, Nov. 26, 1930
SPOUSE & DATE & PLACE of 2nd MARRIAGE: ---
OCCUPATION: He served in the Danish Navy before coming to the United States in 1925. He became a U.S. citizen at that time. He worked for Armour & Co. in Sioux City for several years. After their marriage, the couple farmed near Akron most of their married life. He was owner of Big Sioux Import/Export, a greenhouse business, for several years. He sold antiques for many years prior to his retirement. They moved to Sioux City in 1990 and he entered the nursing home in 1991.
MEMBER OF: First Baptist Church, Akron, IA; he was a member and leader in the Westfield Farm Bureau.
SURVIVORS: …include his wife; three daughters, Eleanore and her husband, Robert Lewis of Correctionville, Joan and her husband, William Harlowe Jr., of Annandale, Va., and Patricia A. Clark of Akron; a son, John and his wife, JoAnn Winquist of Sioux City; 16 grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren.
PRECEDED in DEATH by: …two brothers, seven sisters; a son-in-law, Wilbur Clark, and a great grandson, Kody Boyle.
