MRS. W. O. COLLINS
Mrs. W. O. (Margaret A.) Collins, 86, died Friday (Dec. 7, 1973) at the home of her son Bob. She had been ill for three days. Mrs. Collins lived at 200 3rd Ave. SW, LeMars.
Margaret A. May, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. May, was born April 29, 1887, in Birkenhead, Cheshire, England. She came to Plymouth County in 1908 and has since lived here.
She and Walter O. Collins were married July 1, 1908, at Minot, N.D.
Mrs. Collins, whose late husband was an early day operator of the Pech foundry, was active in First Baptist church work and the Esther Circle of that church.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 10, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Hanthorn officiating. Burial will be in the LeMars Memorial Cemetery under the direction of the Mauer Funeral Home.
Survivors are a son, Robert, and a daughter, Mrs. Clem (Betty) Karl, both of LeMars; a stepson, Maynard Collins; 22 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in December 1956; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Constance) Totman; a son, Wayne, and a stepson, Harold.
