LE MARS, Iowa—Carl LeRoy Schultz, 80, of rural LeMars died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 1995, at Floyd Valley Hospital following a brief illness of cancer.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, ELCA with the Rev. David Kramer officiating. Burial will be in the Stanton Township Cemetery, rural LeMars. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church. Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Schultz was born Dec. 6, 1914, near Merrill, the son of Charles and Lena (Lippke) Schultz. He attended rural school in Stanton Township and worked on his father’s farm. He married Lula Bradley May 29, 1937, in LeMars. The couple farmed near LeMars most of their married life.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Darrell Schultz of Pocatello, Idaho, Dick Schultz of rural Merrill, Randy Schultz of Waconia, Minn., and Carl Schultz of Minneapolis; two daughters, Judy Wetzel of Las Vegas, Nev., and Bonnie Ruenholl of Syracuse, Neb.; two brothers, Ivan Schultz of Swanville, Minn., and Harry Schultz of Merrill; 10 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Schultz; a brother, Ed Kehrberg and a sister, Alva Kehrberg.
