OCCUPATION: He enlisted in the 185th Air National Guard in Sioux City in 1967, serving in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969. Mr. Sanow attended Northwest Iowa Technical College in Sheldon, Iowa, for auto body repair and graduated in 1970. The couple lived for a short time in Vermillion, S.D., and Sheldon and moved to Marcus in 1974, where they since lived. Mr. Sanow worked for Hesse Chevrolet in Marcus since 1973, as manger of the body shop. He attended Sioux Empire College in Hawarden, Iowa, and graduated with an associate arts degree in 1974.
SURVIVORS: …include his wife; four daughters, Dawn and her husband Mike Poss of Brandon, S.D., DeEtta and her husband Lane Siem of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Krista and Kimberly, both at home; his parents in Remsen; three brothers and their wives, Allen M. and Pamela A., of Marcus, Gene and Karen of Vermillion, and Duane and Jeanne of Remsen; two sisters, Marg Sanow and Deb and her husband Chuck Herman, all of Remsen; a brother-in-law, John Ryan of Marcus; and 12 nieces and nephews.
