GRACE SCHNEIDER

LE MARS, Iowa—Grace Parkinson Schneider, 105, of LeMars died Friday, Aug. 30, 1996, at the Brentwood Good Samaritan Center in LeMars.

A memorial service will be at a later date. Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Schneider was born June 7, 1891, in Stockton, Ill., the daughter of George W. and Julia (Wise) Parkinson.

She married Rueben Schneider Feb. 15, 1930, in Sioux City. She had studied piano at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, Dana’s Musical Institute at Warren, Ohio, in 1906 and later at Morningside College with James Reistrup. The couple lived in Sioux City until 1938 when they moved to LeMars. Mr. Schneider died in November 1992.

Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Striffer of Fort Collins, Colo.; four grandchildren, David, Brian, Peter and Karen; and great-nieces, Jane Schultz and Helen Vance, both of LeMars.
