LEON SITZMANN

LE MARS, Iowa—Leon Sitzmann, 42, of LeMars, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 1995, at his place of business in LeMars.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in LeMars with the Rev. Jerry Cosgrove officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Lincoln Township. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today, with a Scriptural wake service at 7:30 p.m. at the Feuerstein Funeral Home in LeMars.

Mr. Sitzmann was born Oct. 26, 1952, in LeMars, the son of Ray and Leona (Nuebel) Sitzmann. He grew up in the Neptune area in Lincoln Township and graduated from Gehlen High School in LeMars in 1971. On June 3, 1983, he married Jolynn Taylor at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Neptune. He farmed for many years and operated Pro Landscaping Business that last 11 years.

Mr. Sitzmann was a member of LeMars Sportsman Club and Pheasants Forever. He enjoyed racquetball, wallyball, golf, hunting, and fishing.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ryan and Alex and a daughter, Kayla, all at home; his mother, Leona Sitzmann of LeMars; five brothers and their wives, Steve and Kathy of Merrill, Fred and Susie of LeMars, Gerald and Delores of Hinton, Cletus and Barb of Kingsley, and Kevin and JoAnn of LeMars; and three sisters and their husbands, Jeannette and Mark Schroeder of LeMars, Mary Ann and Don Krogman of Alton, and Kathleen and Bob Shaw of Spirit Lake.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ray.
