MRS. SARAH WALKER DIES; SERVICES SET WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON

Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Walker will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at Mauer’s Funeral Home. Rev. H.V. Bartz will say the last rites and burial will be in the city cemetery.

Mrs. Walker became ill in January and was in poor health since that time. She died at Sacred Heart hospital March 24, at 5 p.m.

Born 81 years ago in Savannah, Mo., Feb. 19, 1870, Mrs. Walker came to LeMars in 1917 from Jacksonville, Ill. Her maiden name was Patteson.

She married Dec. 31, 1896, to M.S. Walker in Mound City, Mo. Mr. Walker died May 19, 1944, and a daughter, Clara, died in 1918 (sic 1919.)

Two sons, Dr. William Wells Walker of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Paul P. Walker of Oak Harbor, Wash., survive.

Mrs. Walker was a member of the Eastern Star, Sunshine Club and the LeMars Women’s Club.
