Roger J. Poeckes, 67, of Remsen, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, at his home near Remsen.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. today (Monday) at St. Mary Catholic Church in Remsen with the Rev. William McCarthy officiating. Burial was in St. Mary Cemetery in Remsen, with graveside military services conducted by Post 220 American Legion and Post 328 V.F.W. of Remsen.

Visitation was after 2 p.m. Sunday at the Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen, with a parish rosary at 3 p.m., a vigil prayer service at 7:30 p.m. and a Catholic Order of Foresters rosary at 8 p.m.
