Wesley Robert Taylor
Wesley Robert Taylor, 46, route 2, Merrill, died Saturday at a Sioux City hospital after a 6-day illness.
He farmed in Plymouth County and was a Plymouth county Mutual Insurance agent. He was a member of the United Methodist church, Adaville; Masonic lodge, Giblem, No. 332 A.F. and A.M. and Sioux City Shrine, Sioux City Consistory and Eastern Star.
He was born Nov. 5, 1922, in Plymouth county near Merrill. He lived here until 1940 when he moved to the Seattle area, living and working in the western United States until 1953 when he returned to Plymouth County.
His marriage to M. Luella Rogers took place Dec. 19, 1947, at Miami. He was the son of George W. and Bertha Mae Ott Taylor.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Adaville United Methodist church with Rev. Clair Odell officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley cemetery, rural Merrill, under direction of the Mauer funeral home.
A Masonic service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in LeMars.
Survivors are his wife, M. Luella Taylor, rural Merrill; a daughter, Patricia Taylor, a student at the University of Iowa, Iowa City; a son, Robert Taylor, at home, and two sisters, Mrs. John (Mildred) Halverson, Dallas Tex., and Mrs. Julius (Wilma) Yankovich, San Angelo, Tex.
