Chris H. Lendt, 56, a LeMars resident, died Monday after suffering a heart attack while in a car on a hunting trip west of here.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Mauer funeral home. Rev. Cyril Jandrey officiated and burial was in Plymouth Presbyterian cemetery near here.
Mr. Lendt was born June 22, 1904, at Ireton, Ia. He came to LeMars 13 years ago and has been a plasterer here. He married Fern Richards in 1923 in LeMars.
Survivors besides the widow are a son, Robert C. of Culver City, Cal.; a brother Paul of LeMars; two sisters, Mary Scott of Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Agnes Smith of Medford, Ore., and three grandchildren.
Mr. Lendt was riding with his brother-in-law, Bill Richards when he suffered the attack. He was dead upon arrival at the Sacred Heart hospital.
His parents and a sister preceded him in death. His parents were the late Bruno and Emma Lendt.
