Alma Haack

REMSEN--Alma Haack, 91, a Remsen native and lifelong resident, died Wednesday, De. 21, 1994, at Happy Siesta Nursing Home in Remsen after a two month illness.

Miss Haack was born Sept. 21, 1903, in Plymouth County, the daughter of John and Augusta (Jorgensen) Haack. she was raised in the Remsen area and attended Remsen school. She attended college in Iowa City and then taught in various rural schools in the area for many years. She also worked as a beautician and a bookkeeper.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Remsen.

Survivors include a sister, Bertha, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by seven sisters and two brothers.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Remsen with the Rev. Craig Miller officiating. Burial will be in Remsen City Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the church. Moeller Funeral Home of Remsen is in charge of arrangements.
