LE MARS, Iowa -- Dee Jay Davison, 26, of Le Mars passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2004, the result of an auto accident near Hinton, Iowa.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars, with the Rev. James J. Tigges officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Le Mars. Visitation will begin 3 p.m. today, with the family present, and a Scriptural prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Dee Jay Davison was born on Sept. 17, 1977, in Sioux City, the son of Dean and Bonita (Plendl) Davison. He was raised and educated in the Le Mars area and graduated from Le Mars Community High School in 1996. Following his education, he was employed with Quality Truck Wash in Le Mars and Plendl Feed Service in Kingsley, Iowa. Most recently, he worked at Nor-Am Cold Storage in Le Mars.

Dee Jay's greatest love in life was his daughters, Jaiden and Jordyn. He enjoyed horse riding with family and friends and was a member of Tri-State Team Penning in Moville, Iowa. Dee Jay often helped his parents with their horses, liked to dance and was a NASCAR fan.

Grateful to have shared his life are his loving companion, Dawn Utesch and their daughters, Jaiden and Jordyn; his parents, Dean and Bonita Davison; a brother, Dan and his wife, Jackie, and their children, Andrew, Krista, Mitch and Matt; a sister, Dawn Davison and her children, Jay and Jaycee, all of Le Mars; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alvin and Elvera Plendl and Jay and Onieta Davison.

Pallbearers will be Rob, Randy, Ricci, Chris, Craig and Norman Plendl. Honorary pallbearers will be Sarah, Jenni and Zach Schweitzberger, Joel, Jared and Kyle Davison, Megan and Canon Thomas, Rochelle Plendl, Tim Koopman and Randy Stabe.
