LE MARS, Iowa -- James Luna III, 29, of Le Mars passed away Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars.
Services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars, with the Rev. Jon Meredith of First Baptist Church officiating. Private family graveside services will be at a later date. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. to service time Wednesday, with the family present at 5 p.m., all at the funeral home.
James Luna III was born Nov. 4, 1973, in Springerville, Ariz., the son of James and Judy (White) Luna. The family lived in various locations prior to moving to Le Mars. He attended elementary and middle school in Le Mars. He attended high school in Terrill, Iowa.
Following his education, he worked at various jobs, including a position with Ray Mohrhauser Construction. For the past three years, he made his home at Plymouth Life.
He loved to fish, play his guitar, write poetry and draw. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and playing with his nieces and nephews. At Plymouth Life, he was a member of N.A.A. and A.A.
He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Jim and Judy Luna of Le Mars; his brothers and sisters, Todd Luna and his wife, Patricia of Clearwater Beach, Fla., Deana and her husband, Joel Marwitz of Brush, Colo., and Darla Luna of Le Mars; nieces and nephews, Christopher Luna and Jared, Rachel, Rebekah and Mary Elizabeth Marwitz; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Tony; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
