Gerd H. Ludwigs, 90, of California, formerly of Iowa, died in California.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Joshua Memorial Park, 808 E. Lancaster Blvd., Lancaster, Calif.

Mr. Ludwigs was born Dec. 6, 1911, in Iowa. He had resided in Lancaster since 1955. He retired in 1975 from Antelope Valley Inn in Lancaster, where he had worked for 20 years.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Bernice; a daughter, Betty Ziarnick and her husband, Robert, a granddaughter, Tammy Kelly (Ferree), and a great-grandson, David Sandy, all of Lancaster; three sisters, Minnie Huebner, Amanda Bultman and Gertrude Fluck; and a brother, John Ludwigs.
